Welcome to the UrbanM2O Modelling Platform, a cutting-edge solution utilizing open source City Drain 4. Designed to revolutionise urban water quality management across Europe.

This platform is part of the UrbanM2O Project, a four-year, €5 million initiative funded by the Horizon Europe programme. Coordinated by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the project brings together 20 expert partners from 10 countries to address the growing challenge of urban water pollution.

The City Drain 4 modelling engine enables:

  • Resource-efficient monitoring and simulation of urban water systems
  • Integrated water quality models with harmonised data systems
  • Real-time capabilities to identify pollution hotspots
  • Predictive analytics for proactive urban water management

Our platform supports cities in meeting the objectives of the EU's Green Deal and Water Framework Directive, enabling more sustainable, data-driven approaches to urban water governance.
